Flemenstar’s Tony Martin Debut set for Boylesports.com Fortria Chase'

Monday, 1 January 1

Flemenstar looks set to kick start his campaign when he lines up in the Grade 2 Boylesports.com Fortria Chase at Navan on Sunday. The eight year old was a multiple Grade 1 winner for Peter Casey and he will have his first outing on Sunday for Tony Martin who said,’ I got him six weeks ago. The plan is that he’ll start off in the Fortria at Navan. He has done plenty and hopefully, all going well he’ll run on Sunday.’ Regarding ground he remarked,’ I’d say he is a versatile horse. I don’t really know if he needs soft ground.  He is just a good horse and like everyone else, I saw him racing over the last couple of years and he seems to have won on all types of ground so I don’t think ground really matters to him.’ He added,’ he has done everything well, he has schooled well and galloped well. You don’t learn an awful lot about them in six weeks, but I am looking forward to getting him started on Sunday. I have no plans after Navan.  We’ll take it one day at a time. We’ll get Sunday out of the way first and make a plan after that.’ He might be taken on by the Willie Mullins trained Sanctuaire, who was a very smart chaser for Paul Nicholls. The French bred was purchased by present connections earlier this year and Mullins has also pencilled in the smart Arvika Ligeonniere for Sunday’s contest. Meanwhile Eddie Harty plans to run the promising Minella Foru in The Grade 3 Boylesports.com Text-A-Bet 51900 For Auction Novice Hurdle. The King’s Theatre gelding looked a promising horse when he made a winning debut over timber at Listowel and Harty stated,’ he did it nicely and he is a very nice prospect, but ideally I would have preferred to have taken on his own age group, but there weren’t too many options for him so all being well, he’ll run on Sunday.’ ‘The form of the race he won hasn’t worked out too well and I hope people aren’t getting too carried away with him, but he jumped well and he did everything right at Listowel. This represents a big step up for him and we’ll see how he gets on at the weekend.’ Harty is also responsible for the ageless Captain Cee Bee who is one of eleven entries for The Grade 2 Boylesports.com Download Our App Lismullen Hurdle. The Mouse Morris trained Rule The World who was impressive when he won on his comeback start at Naas a couple of weeks ago may also run on Sunday. Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “The Fortria Chase has been won by champions such as Moscow Flyer and Big Zeb in the past and Boylepsorts are delighted to be sponsors of the prestigious race.” He added “All eyes will be on Flemenstar as he makes his seasonal reappearance in what is set to be a top class days racing that also features the Boylesports.com Grade 3 For Auction Novice Hurdle and The Grade 2 Boylesports.com Lismullen Hurdle.” Boylesports Fortria Chase Flemenstar 8/11 Arvika Ligeonniere 4/1 Sanctuaire 6/1 Days Hotel 10/1 Toner D'oudairies 10/1 Realt Dubh 16/1 Realt Mor 16/1 Dedigout 20/1 Lucky William 20/1 Rubert 100/1 EW 1/4 1, 2 Darren Lawlor, General Manager said, ‘We are all extremely excited in anticipation to a fascinating renewal of the Boylesports.com Fortria chase. BOYLESPORTS.COM TO SPONSOR FORTRIA CHASE DAY

Monday, 1 January 1

Sunday November 10th 2013 Baily Green and Rubi Light who were second and third respectively behind Sizing Europe at Gowran Park on Saturday could clash again in the Grade 2 Boyleports.com Fortria Chase which will run at Navan on the 10th of November. Speaking on Saturday Mouse Morris who trains Baily Green said ’I was delighted with the way he ran and we’ll see how he comes out of Gowran. I thought he’d run well and he will come on for the run, but a lot will depend on how he is and what the ground is like, but he will get an entry and we will work towards it.’ Robbie Hennessy was more than happy with Rubi Light at Gowran and he said,’ He was just never right last season, but I was thrilled with him on Saturday and he may have finished a bit closer to the winner had the ground been softer. There is a nice bit of time between Gowran and the Boylesports.com Fortria and that could well be his next race.’ It has also been suggested that Flemenstar could have his first run for Tony Martin in the Boylesports.com Fortria Chase. The Boylesports.com Fortria is one of three Graded races that Boylesports will sponsor at Navan and Alan Reilly Head of Racing and PR said “Boylesports are absolutely delighted to be associated with our neighbours at Navan on what is always an excellent day of racing and which sets the standard for the opening of the NH season proper.” He added “Boylesports remain committed to supporting Irish racing and are proud to add Navan to our sponsorship portfolio.” Darren Lawlor, Racecourse Manager commented “We are delighted to have attracted such an exciting sponsor for this great day of national hunt racing.
