  • Navan is located 48km north-west of Dublin (N3). The Racecourse itself is on the R162 Proudstown Road. Full details on how to get to the racecourse can be found here 

    The easiest way to travel to Navan Racecourse is by car. However, there are other options which you can view on our Directions page 

    Navan Racecourse is a relaxed friendly venue. We recommend smart, casual attire for a day at the races. There are, however, no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing your outfit.   When deciding what to wear, we advise you to think about both the weather and your feet! 

    There is plenty of free car parking at the race course which is a short walk to the main entrance. On busy racedays, however, we advise you to come early to avoid potential traffic delays. Please follow the attendants directions on where to park.

    Navan town has several accommodation options for varying budgets. You will find full detils on hotels and B&Bs on our Where to Stay page 

    Tickets can be purchased in advance here and can be posted out to you in advance of a race day. They can also be collected from the office on a race day. Please note that it is cash only transaction at the turnstile.

    No, food and drink is not permitted to be brought into the enclosure.


    Yes, there is  public WiFi currently available to all racegoers.  

    Yes, binoculars are available to hire from the Tote Hall area.

    There is disabled access to all areas. There is a lift to the first floor restaurant area and also to the Owners, Trainers and Members area in the Arkle Bar.

    Fixtures for the year ahead are announced in September of the previous year. You will find a full list of fixtures on our Race Meetings Overview page 

    There is no ATM in the enclosure but we offer a cashback service in the racecourse office (located at the main entrance) on all race days. We accept all credit and debit cards. 


    Gates open approx. 2 hours before the first race. You will find the time of our first race for each race day on our homepage

    Only guide dogs are permitted in the enclosure on race days. 


    You will find baby-changing facilities in the ladies toilets adjacent to the Kilberry Restaurant, in the Arkle Building and in the Proudstown building. 

    On all race days, children are welcome to use the play area which you will find beside the Arkle building. There is also an interactive playroom for young children located beside the café. On specific race days like Family Fun Day, we have lots of additional entertainment – bouncy castles, garden games, face-painting, art competition and pony rides.
