Racecourse Facilities

The Bective Restaurant is our most popular dining venue for small groups. It’s friendly, relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect base for a day at Navan. Families, friends and clients return again and again to savour the delicious silver-service lunch or dinner along and superb views of the track from the balcony area. Our menus vary from season to season. They include the best local produce and our experienced staff will also cater for special dietary requirements. Booking is strongly advised as there is generally very limited availability on race days. 

Our Proudstown, Boyne or O’Sullivan rooms can be booked for groups varying from 10 to 220 guests and can be used for just about any event, from a workplace outing to product launch or fundraiser. Our hospitality options also vary from finger food to a hot buffet, a barbeque on a summer’s evening to a fine dining experience. Adjacent to the Troytown Bar is the Kilberry Self-Service Restaurant which is accessible to all racegoers. This spacious restaurant has recently undergone a refurbishment and serves a selection of hot meals, soup, desserts and drinks. Numerous televisions ensure that you won’t miss a minute of the racing action while enjoying lunch or dinner! 

The Arkle Pavilion, located above the weigh room, is open to annual membership holders as well as owners and trainers. The balcony which runs the length of this large room is a superb place from which to view the horses in the parade ring below and the home straight. Hot food, snacks, tea and coffee are available from the bar. 

This public bar is located right in the heart of the action, beneath the grandstand and a short stroll from the parade ring. We have recently refurbished the Troytown Bar and you can now enjoy the same wonderful atmosphere in more comfortable surroundings. The bar has been given a face-lift and we’ve added a separate food bar and a dance floor! There is excellent on-screen viewing, Tote betting and live music after every race meeting. 

Junior racegoers are guaranteed to have fun in the Big Zeb Kids Room which you’ll find next door to the racecourse café. There are interactive touch screens games to play and it’s also a great place for them to make friends. Outside the Arkle Pavilion, you’ll find an outdoor play area with a climbing frame, rope bridge and slide on a safe rubber-matted surface. We ask you to make sure that your children are supervised at all times in both of these areas.

The Racecourse Café is a comfortable and cosy room between Big Zeb’s Indoor Playroom and the on-course betting shop and is accessible to all racegoers. It's kitted out with relaxing tub chairs, sofas and lots of television screens for so you can enjoy the action with a warm cuppa and snack. There are also picnic tables in the covered area just outside.
