Navan Racing Festival FAQ's

Children 14 years of age and under are free when with an adult.
If you purchased a Real Deal for either day of The Navan Racing Festival, we send out all your vouchers and real deal pack via post to your home address. Please bring these vouchers with you on your race day. 

Reminder: These Vouchers Are Not Replaceable. Please keep all your Real Deal vouchers safe.

Book your tickets prior to the event to save money!
You can buy tickets on the day of the meeting at the turnstiles, but we recommened you purchase in advance to both save and avoid queues.
Navan is located 48km north-west of Dublin (N3). The Racecourse itself is on the R162 Proudstown Road. The Navan Racecourse Eircode is C15 A623. Full details on how to get to the racecourse can be found here 
Gates open on both Saturday 14th November and Sunday 15th November at 10am.
We don't encourage attendees to park and leave their car at Navan Racecourse overnight. Avail of our local shuttle buses during both days of the Navan Racing Festival, to and back to Navan Town. More Information - HERE 

Under 18's must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. This will be strictly monitored by Security and An Garda Síochána. Under 18's will be refused entry if you don't have a parent / guardian with you. 

Under 18's will not be permitted access to bar areas where alcohol is served. ID will be required to enter these areas, and will also be required when purchasing alcohol.

Yes. Strict ID checks are in place. Only Passport, Garda Age Card or Driver’s Licence accepted.
No ID – No Entry
The easiest way to travel to Navan Racecourse is by car. However, there are other options which you can view on our Directions page. There will be local shuttle buses for both days of the Navan Racing Festival. Please see schedule HERE 
Navan Racecourse is a relaxed friendly venue. We recommend smart, casual attire for a day at the races. There are, however, no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing your outfit. When deciding what to wear, we advise you to think about both the weather and your feet! There is a best dressed ladies competition on Day 1 of The Navan Racing Festival, where we encourage all ladies to take part. Elevate Your Winter Style!
Yes, there is accessibility viewing of the racetrack, just beside the parade ring. 
If a person does not wish to give consent for a search to take place, Navan Racecourse have a right to refuse admission. This racecourse policy is endorsed and supported by An Garda Síochána who will always be in the vicinity of the racecourse’s designated search areas. Any complaint or issue should be notified to the Gardaí on the day. 
There will be local shuttle buses operating on the day, bringing racegoers from Navan town to the racecourse. The first bus will depart from the Ardboyne Hotel at 9:45am, stopping at The Fair Green, Foxes Pub and The Round O before continuing to the racecourse. A second bus will depart from The Fair Green at 10:15am, stopping at Foxes Pub and The Round O before continuing to the racecourse. Return buses will begin departing from the racecourse immediately after the last race and will operate continuously between the racecourse and Navan town for 1.5 hours, after which the shuttle service will cease. 
Yes, there is free WIFI at Navan Racecourse. 
Yes, there will be live music throughout the Navan Racing Festival. 
On the Saturday Out On Bale will headline the festival marquee after racing. Peadar Farrelly will also be playing live in the Troytown Bar after racing. 

On the Sunday The Sandmen will be playing live after racing in the festival marquee. The Wingmen will be playing live music in The Troytown Bar after racing!

 
There is plenty of free car parking at the racecourse which is a short walk to the main entrance. On busy racedays, however, we advise you to come early to avoid potential traffic delays. Please follow the attendants directions on where to park.
There are numerous food facilities at the Navan Racing Festival. The Kilberry Restaurant hosts a hot carvey, along with some cold food as well tea's and coffee's. Our café has hot and cold food options as well. There will be numerous outdoor food units and coffee vans during both days of the festival. 
The first race on Saturday 14th November is 11:52am. 
The first race on Sunday 15th November is 11:40am.

Bags may be searched on entry to the racecourse.
